A fantastic template called Lil' Twister by The Country Schoolhouse for making pinwheels. Took a little while to understand the instructions (I always have problems with instructions!) and work out where the fabrics were going to show up, but I like the result. I think I'd really like to make a pinwheel quilt with this template. I'm thinking about it... I have a thing for pinwheels!

Buttons galore!
Look at these fun cross stitch buttons or badges I made while feeding Lucy! They are all from Cross Stitcher patterns. When you don't have much time, they're great to make, relaxing and you get a quick result!
Cheers to Daniele Di Ciccio for the beautiful photos! Thank you very much.

Latest...
This is a photo of my latest creation (at least I think it's the last completed one! many are still in my mind or in the studio!!!).
The material is Michael Miller's laminated Pink Belle Rose, which I liked as soon as I saw it at Bergamo's Creattiva last year. Until recently it has been difficult to find laminated material in Italy, apart from rather horrid tablecloth material. I hadn't realised it would be so difficult to sew. The pink cotton lining is a big help when sewing and I actually had to put in the inserts in the handles because otherwise it was impossible to turn the handles inside out after sewing them! In the end a problem has become an improvement!
I will tell you about the photograph soon...

My phone's battery has given up on me at the moment so I can't download any new photos. I have also realised that I haven't taken photos of a lot of more recent things I've made!
In the meantime I am going mad trying to renew my Mollie Makes subscription (really good and Ella loves it too - she keeps asking me to renew it!) and have fallen for Ever Kelly Storybook Lane fabrics! What great ideas and if this is her debute I can't wait to see what she'll do next!
See the photos and read about Ever Kelly, I love fairytales and girlie things so she's got me hooked!

So lets start with these three buttons with owls that Ella and I made for Rossella (who loves owls) to say thank you for lending me a trolley to take my sewing machine around with me when I was expecting Lucy. Remember: good sewing machines way a ton!
